On October 28, 2025, Fairview RCMP approached a vehicle parked on a rural road and found the driver asleep at the wheel.

Upon awakening, the individual conversed briefly with officers before fleeing the scene.

The driver was identified as 26-year-old Fairview resident Devin Donald Reardon.

On November 13, 2025, RCMP received a complaint about dangerous driving.

The suspect vehicle was located at a local store, and Reardon was arrested.

A subsequent investigation led to the seizure of 50 grams of methamphetamine, 22 grams of fentanyl, over 2 kilograms of GHB, more than $10,000 in Canadian currency, and stolen property.

Reardon faces multiple charges, including flight from police, dangerous driving, impaired operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear before the Alberta Court of Justice in Fairview on December 10, 2025.
