With a province-wide teachers’ strike set to begin on October 6, the Town of Grimshaw is stepping up to support local families.
To ease the burden on parents during school closures, the Town is launching a free Teacher’s Strike Kids Camp at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex.
This program offers daily activities designed to keep school-aged children active, safe, and engaged.
For programming details and registration information, contact the Town Office or visit the Town’s website and social media channels.
Additionally, the Grimshaw Youth Centre will extend its hours throughout the strike, providing extra programming and support for the community’s youth.
These initiatives aim to offer families more options and help children stay connected during the disruption.
Other communities across the region are also offering family support services; reach out to your local municipal office for details.
