UPDATE
Proceedings in the case of murder in Peace River last year, will be going ahead.
The Prosecutor’s office states that a charge of manslaughter in the case has been upgraded to second-degree murder charges against Kelleo Alook of Peace River.
They face the judge, after the death of 35-year-old Anton Vincent Carifelle of McLennan, last August in downtown Peace River.
RCMP say officers responded to reports of a shooting in downtown Peace River on August 12, 2025. The victim was found conscious at the scene and transported to hospital, but died the following day.
An autopsy later confirmed Carifelle died from a gunshot wound.
