Berwyn Explores Measures to Tackle Speeding

berwyn
Speeding within the Village of Berwyn was a topic of discussion at the February 12 council meeting. Members of council discussed a range of potential measures aimed at improving road safety and addressing growing resident concerns.

Council reviewed several options to curb speeding, including the installation of additional stop signs at key intersections and the possibility of introducing a new bylaw to reduce speed limits throughout the community. The discussion also touched on the potential costs and effectiveness of speed enforcement camera boxes, as well as alternatives to the Village’s current speed bumps.

Speed bumps, which have previously been installed during the summer months, have become a contentious topic among some residents.

Recognizing the need for broader community input, council directed administration to develop an online survey to gather feedback from residents on their preferred solutions.
