Action and reactions are continuing to come in regarding the pending closure of the Fairview Campus of Northwestern Polytechnic.
The Board of Directors made the decision to close the satellite campus at the end of the year, earlier this month.
The Town and MD of Fairview, as well as community Groups have begun campaigns against the closure, stating the economic impact it will have.
The economic impact will have a tremendous impact on the community, says officials, community Groups, as well as the Provincial opposition.
The Provincial Shadow Minister of Advanced Education is David Eggen, and he says the small campuses are a backbone of a town’s economy.
He also states that everyone needs to join into the discussions to keep the campus open.
