On September 28 2025, River RCMP responded to a report from homeowners near Rycroft, Alberta, who discovered a man with multiple injuries inside their residence.
Emergency Medical Services transported the individual to the hospital in critical condition.
Earlier that evening, a call reported a bloodied man walking south away from a dark vehicle with hazard lights on in the northbound lane of Highway 2.
RCMP responded but were unable to locate him; it is believed to be the same individual.
Spirit River RCMP are seeking public assistance and request anyone with dashcam footage from Highway 2 between Woking and Rycroft, between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m., to review and submit any relevant footage.
