On August 15, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the Lakeshore Regional Police Service responded to a weapons complaint along Eva Road in Driftpile First Nation.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased male.
The RCMP Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation, treating the death as a homicide.
An autopsy is scheduled for August 18, 2025, at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Edmonton.
