This weekend on River Country Rising Stars the headliner was Annika Catharina and her single “Love and Hate” !!! Annika is an emerging talent from British Columbia and the last few years has been making quite the name for herself. In the past year she found herself as a semi-finalist in the Top of the Country contest and was named a semi-finalist for the Boots & Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, which has helped launch he careers of artists like Jade Eagleson and The Reklaws.
“Love and Hate” is a song written by Annika along with Parker Graye alongside the producers The Renaissance that delves into the messiness of relationships and how they cycle through crashing and burning. The song being under 3 minutes in length is able to tell quite a story. The song has been a success on streamlining platforms as well as finding itself on a number of editorial playlists
